Newbiggin, a township in Aysgarth parish, N.R. Yorkshire, on the river Ure, 3 miles from Aysgarth station on the N.E.R., and 4½ SE of Askrigg. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Aysgarth (R.S.O.) Acreage, 1700; population, 101. There is a school founded in 1748.
