Smeaton, Little, a township in Birkby parish, N.R. Yorkshire, 6 miles N of Northallerton, and 3 from Cowton station on the N.E.R. Post town, Northallerton; money order and telegraph office, Great Smeaton. Acreage, 1001; population, 70. There are remains of a Roman camp.
