Killingnoble Scar, North Riding of Yorkshire

Historical Description

Killingnoble Scar, a curved range of hills in the N.R. Yorkshire, overhanging Newton Dale, 8 miles N by E of Pickering. It was noted in old times for a breed of large hawks, which were esteemed worthy of the care of kings.
