Historical Description

Hury, a hamlet in Hunderthwaite township, Romald Kirk parish, N.R. Yorkshire, 6½ miles NW of Bamard Castle, and 2 from Romald Kirk station on the N.E.R. The reservoirs for the Middlesborough and Stockton Waterworks Co. were constructed here in 1892-93.
