Hambleton Hills, North Riding of Yorkshire
Historical Description
Hambleton Hills, a hill range in the N.R. Yorkshire. It extends about 7 miles from N by W to S by E; is distant, near the south end, 5½ miles E from Thirsk; presents a bold appearance, forming a fine background to many landscapes, and commands extensive and charming views. The highest point is at Black Hambleton (1289 feet).
