Farndale-East-Side,a township in Bransdale-cum-Farndale parish, N.R. Yorkshire, 8 miles NW of Kirby Moorside, a,nd 6 from Castleton station on the N.E.R. Post town, York. Acreage, 6166; population, 322. The surface is part of a varied and pleasing valley, through which flows the river Dove. There is a chapel of ease and a parish school.
