Thorngumbauld, East Riding of Yorkshire
Historical Description
Thorngumbauld, a township-chapelry in Paull parish, E.R. Yorkshire, 2 miles E of Hedon railway station. It has a post office under Hull; money order office, Burstwick; telegraph office, Hedon. Acreage, 1658; population, 291. The living is annexed to the vicarage of Paull, in the diocese of York. The church was restored in 1857, and is a small building consisting of chancel, nave, and belfry. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels.
