Derry Hill, an ecclesiastical parish in Wiltshire, 3½ miles from Chippenham station, and 2½ from Came on the G.W.R. Bowood is a liberty in the parish. It has a post and money order office under Calne; telegraph office, Calne. Population, 886. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Salisbury; value, £239. Patron, the Vicar of Calne. There is a working men's club and institute. Bowood liberty is coextensive with Bowood Park, the seat of Lord Lansdowne.
