The Lune, Westmorland
Historical Description
Lune, The, a river of Westmorland and Yorkshire. It rises 2½ miles SW of Micklefell, and runs about 12 miles, in the direction of E by N, through a mountainous region, to the river Tees at the boundary with Durham, 1½ mile ESE of Middleton-in-Teesdale.
