Historical Description

Westwood, an ecclesiastical parish in Stoneleigh parish, Warwickshire, 2 miles SW of Coventry, and 3 N of Kenilworth. It has a post office, called Westwood Heath, under Coventry; money order and telegraph office, Coventry. It was constituted in 1846, and includes the hamlets of Fletchamstead, Tile Hill, and Canley. Population, 604. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Worcester; net value, £190 with residence. Patron, Lord Leigh. The church was erected in 1844, and is in the Early English style.
