Emscote, Warwickshire

Historical Description

Emscote, a suburb of Warwick and an ecclesiastical parish. The latter was constituted in 1861 from the ancient parish of St Nicholas, Warwick. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office (R.S.O.) under Warwick. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Worcester; net value, £110 with residence. Patron, the Vicar of St Nicholas. The church is a handsome edifice, dedicated to All Saints, erected in 1861 and enlarged in 1872.
