Edstone, Warwickshire

Historical Description

Edstone, a hamlet in Wootton-Wawen parish, Warwickshire, on the river Aine, 3½ miles SE of Henley-in-Arden. Edstone House was the birthplace and once the seat of Somerville the poet, who died in 1742.
