Historical Description
Tilgate Forest, a part of Worth or St Leonard's Forest, in Sussex, in the Weald, 7 miles WSW of East Grinstead. It is notable for palseontological remains, described in Dr 'Mantell's " Fossils of Tilgate Forest."
