Staplefield Common, an ecclesiastical parish in Sussex, about 5 miles NW of Haywards Heath station on the L.B. & S.C.R. It has a post office under Grawley; money order and telegraph office, Handcross. Population, 782. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chichester; gross value, £130 with residence. Patron, the Rector of Cuckfield. There are Congregational and Baptist chapels.
