Wellington, Suffolk

Historical Description

Wellington, a village and a parish in Suffolk. The village stands on the river Lark, 1 mile WSW of Mildenhall, and 4¼ miles N of Kennet station on the G.E.R., with a post office under Soham; money order and telegraph office, Mildenhall. The parish comprises 2003 acres; population, 248. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ely; gross value, £250 with residence. The church is a building in the Early English style, and has been restored.
