Historical Description
Elmham (South) St Margaret, a parish in Suffolk, 2½ miles SE from Homersfield station on the G.E.R., and 4½ SSW from Buugay. It has a post office under Harleston; money order and telegraph office, Harleston. Acreage, 595; population, 123. The living is a rectory, united with the rectory of South Elmham St Peter, in the diocese of Norwich; net value, £244. Patron, Sir Hugh Edward Adair, Bart. The church is chiefly Perpendicular, but has a Norman door and a Later English tower.
