Redmore or Redmere, Suffolk

Historical Description

Redmore or Redmere, formerly an extra-parochial tract, but now a parish in Suffolk, 3½ miles N from the Burnt Fen station on the Ely and Thetford section of the G.E.R., and 9½ WNW from Brandon. It is connected ecclesiastically with the district of St John, Little Ouse. Post town, Downham; money order and telegraph office, Southey. The parish comprises two farms, an inn, and a few cottages, and has an area of 632 acres and a population of 44.
