Great and Little Wratting, Suffolk

Historical Description

Wratting, Great and Little, two parishes in Suffolk, 2½ miles and 1½ mile NNE of Haverhill station on the G.E.R. There is a post office under Haverhill; money order and telegraph office, Thnrlow. Acreage, 1348 and 936; population of the civil parishes, 362 and 220; of the ecclesiastical parish, 609. The livings are conjoint rectories in the diocese of Ely; gross value, £560 with residence. The churches are small buildings of flint in the Early English style.
