Historical Description
Stramshall, an ecclesiastical parish in Checkley and Uttoxeter parishes, Staffordshire, 1½ mile NNW of Uttoxeter. It has a post office under Stafford; money order and telegraph office, Uttoxeter. It was constituted in 1854, and includes the hamlets of Creighton, Spath, and Crakemarsh. Population, 418. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lichfield; gross value, £250 with residence. Patron, the Vicar of Uttoxeter. The church was erected in 1852, and is in the Early English style.
