The Mees, Staffordshire

Historical Description

Mees, The, a river of Staffordshire and Salop. It rises near Biymhill in Staffordshire; runs about 6 miles north-north-westward, partly on the boundary with Salop, but chiefly within Staffordshire, to Aqualate Mere; traverses that lake; goes about 3½ mile thence, past Forton, into Salop; and proceeds about 9¼ miles, north-westward, south-south-westward, and westward to the Tern, at Bolas Magna.
