Historical Description

Elan, The, a river of Radnorshire. It rises about 9 miles NW of Ehayader, runs south-eastward about 15 miles, receives the Claerwen at Capel-Nant-Gwyllt, and falls into the Wye. It is a good angling water, and runs among some fine scenery.
