Leadwell or Ledwell, Oxfordshire

Historical Description

Leadwell or Ledwell, a hamlet in Sandford St Martin parish, Oxfordshire, 3½ miles SW of Deddiugton. A quondam. large and elegant mansion here was the residence of Earl Deloraine, and the part connected with it is still an object of interest. Ledwell House is a chief residence. There is a-Primitive Methodist chapel.
