Warnham Flats, Northumberland
Historical Description
Warnham Flats, a sea recess on the coast of Northumberland, immediately N of Bamborough Castle. It penetrates the land for some distance under the name of Budle Bay, extends thence to the Ferne Islands, is alternately covered and left bare by the tide, and is famous for cockles.
