Fransham or Frensuam, or Great Frensham, Norfolk

Historical Description

Fransham or Frensuam, or Great Frensham, a parish in Norfolk, on the G.E.R., 6½ miles NE by E of Swaffham. It has a station of the name of Fransham on the railway. Post town, East Dereham; money order office, Little Fransham; telegraph office, Litcham. Acreage, 1932; population, 315. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net yearly value, £400 with residence. Patron, Magdalene College, Cambridge. The church is an ancient building of flint in the Perpendicular style, and has several brasses. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
