Historical Description

Pont Dolanog, a hamlet in Llanfihangel parish, and an ecclesiastical parish partly also in Llanerfyi, Llanfair Caer-einion, and Llangyniew parishes, Montgomeryshire. The hamlet lies on the river Vyrnwy, about 5 miles NW of Llanfair, and about 10 SW of Llanfyllin. The ecclesiastical parish was constituted in 1856, and its post town is Welshpool. Population, 293. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of St Asaph; net value, £102 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of St Asaph.
