Historical Description

Pont Llanfraith, a hamlet in Mynyddyslwyn parish, Monmouthshire, on the river Sirhowy, near Tredegar Junction station on the G.W.R. and L. & N.W.R., and 13½ miles NW of Newport. It has a post and money order office under Newport; telegraph office, Blackwood. There are a chapel of ease and Roman Catholic, Calvinistic Methodist, and Congregational chapels.
