Castell Prysor, Merionethshire

Historical Description

Castell-Prysor, an old fort in a defile of Merionethshire, between Moel-Uchaf and the lofty heights of the Gani, 4 miles S by E of Festiniog. It is now a mere fragment, and it has been ascribed variously to the Britons and the Romans. Roman coins and urns have been found at it.
