Bentley Priory, Middlesex
Historical Description
Bentley Priory, formerly the seat of the Duke of Abercorn, in the parish of Harrow-on-the-Hill, Middlesex, 3 miles WNW of Edgeware. It occupies the site of a small priory, and contains some antiques and fine paintings. The surrounding grounds are very beautiful, and cover an extent of 250 acres. Queen Adelaide, after a residence of some months, died here in 1849.
