Historical Description
Kelby, a township and a chapelry in Haydor parish, Lincolnshire, 5½ miles SW by W from Sleaford, and 3 SE from Ancaster station on the G.N.R. Post town, Grantham; money order and telegraph office, Ancaster. Acreage, 1054; population, 84. The manor belongs to the Houblon family. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Haydor, in the diocese of Lincoln. The church, which is a fine building of stone in the Norman, Decorated, and Perpendicular styles, comprises nave and chancel, with tower and spire.
