Stubbins, Lancashire

Historical Description

Stubbins, a village in Ramsbottom ecclesiastical parish, Bury parish, Lancashire, with a station on the Manchester and Bacup section of the L. & Y.R., adjacent to Ramsbottom. It has a post and money order office under Manchester; telegraph office, Ramsbottom. There are a Congregational chapel of 1867, cotton-spinning and woollen mills, printworks, and some good residences.
