Historical Description
Gateacre, a village on the S border of Lancashire, with a station on the Cheshire Lines Committee railway, and 5½ miles ESE of Liverpool. It has a post, money order,, and telegraph office under Liverpool. There is an ancient Uni-tarian chapel here.
