Holme Island, Kent

Historical Description

Holme Island, a small island opposite Blawith Point, near the mouth of the estuary of the Kent, and near Grange station on the Ulverston and Lancaster railway. It is about 11 acres in extent, has a mansion surrounded by pleasure grounds, and is connected with the mainland by a causeway.
