Ham Street (Orlestone), Kent

Historical Description

Ham Street, a village in Orlestone parish, Kent, with a station on the S.E.R., 60 miles from London, and near the Royal Military Canal, 6½ miles S by W of Ashford. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Ashford. A cattle and sheep fair is held on the last Thursday in Aug. There are a Wesleyan chapel and village hall.
