Denne Hill, Kent
Historical Description
Denne Hill, a seat adjacent to the Dover railway, 7½ miles SE of Canterbury, in Kent. It belonged for about six centuries to the Dennes, and passed to the Montresors. Traces of very extensive entrenchments are on the grounds, and were long supposed by antiquaries to be indications of the line of Caesar's march from Deal. It is now a modern residence belonging to the Dyson family.
