Bonnington (Seat), Kent

Historical Description

Bonnington, the old seat of the Boys family, in Kent, near Goodnestone, 7½ miles ESE of Canterbury. Two distinguished members of the family were Sir John Boys, of military celebrity, and Lieutenant Governor Boys of Greenwich Hospital, notable for escape in the Luxemburg.
