Totlands Bay, Isle of Wight

Historical Description

Totlands Bay, a bay in the W of the Isle of Wight, separated on the NE from Colwell Bay by a small headland, extending 1½ mile south-westward to Hatherwood Point, and overhung on the S by cliffs ascending to Headen Hill, 397 feet high. There is a watering-place close to the bay with two or three good hotels, several handsome villa residences, and good lodging-houses.
