Marwell or Marvel, Isle of Wight
Historical Description
Marwell or Marvel, a hamlet in Carisbrooke parish, Isle of Wight, on the Medina river, 1½ mile S of Newport. A college of secular priests was founded here by Henry de Blois, Bishop of Winchester.
