Farringford, at one period the residence of the late Lord Tennyson, the Poet-Laureate, in the Isle of Wight, 1 mile WNW of Freshwater Gate, and 2— miles SSW of Yarmouth. It is a comfortable mansion, sheltered with trees, and was thus described by himself in an invitation to the Rev F.
