Chillerton, Isle of Wight
Historical Description
Chillerton, a hamlet in Carisbrooke and Wootton parishes, Isle of Wight, 3½ miles S by W of Newport, under which it has a post office. Chillerton Vale is a fine narrow gorge intersecting the chalk downs.
