Dane End or Munden Street, Hertfordshire
Historical Description
Dane End or Munden Street, a hamlet in Great Mun-den and Little Munden parishes, Herts, 6¼ miles N of Ware. The manor belongs to the Surtees family. Traces of camps and some tumuli are here, and are thought to be memorials of battle between the Danes and the Saxons.
