Limebrook, Herefordshire

Historical Description

Limebrook, a township in Lingen and Wigmore parishes, Herefordshire, near the river Lugg, 4¼ miles ENE of Presteign. An Augustinian nunnery was founded here in the time of Richard I., and was given at the dissolution to John West and Robert Gratwick.
