Cumberland Fort, Hampshire

Historical Description

Cumberland Fort, a fort at the mouth of Langston harbour, in Hants, 3 miles E of Portsmouth. It is one of the strongest in the neighbourhood of Portsmouth, and commands the entrance to Spithead.
