Historical Description
Burton, a village and an ecclesiastical parish in Hants, 2 miles N of Chrlstchurch, under which there is a post and money order office. Population of the ecclesiastical parish, 782. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Winchester; gross value, £130 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Winchester. The church was built in 1877, and has a good organ. There is a Congregational chapel.
