Burgate, Middle, North, and South, three tithings in Fordingbridge parish, Hants, on the river Avon, 1 mile from Breamore station on the L. &. S.W.R., with a post office under Salisbury; money order and telegraph omce, Fordingbridge. Burgate House belongs to the Coventry family.
