The Chelt, Gloucestershire

Historical Description

Chelt, The, a stream of Gloucestershire. It rises among the Cotswolds, near the centre of the county, and runs about 10 miles north-westward, past Cheltenham and Boddington, to the Severn below Haw Bridge.
