Historical Description

Catherine, St, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire. The village is suburban to Gloucester city, within the borough, on its north side. The parish includes also the hamlets of Kingsholm and Longford, the former within the borough, the latter not. Acreage, 201; population of the civil parish, 2594; of the ecclesiastical, 3511.
