Ystalyfera, Glamorgan

Historical Description

Ystalyfera, a village in Llanguick parish, Glamorgan, 12 miles NE of Swansea. It has a station on the Neath and Brecon railway, and a post, money order, and telegraph office under Swansea. There are extensive ironworks. Ynys Cedwyn House, an ancient mansion, is the chief residence. There is a chapel of ease to Llangnick parish church.
