Penclawdd, Glamorgan
Historical Description
Pendawdd, a fishing village in Llanrhidian parish, Glamorgan, in the Gower Peninsula, 9 miles WNW of Swansea. It has a station on the L. & N.W.R., and a post, money order, and telegraph office (R.S.O.) There are tinplate and iron smelting works, a chapel of ease, and Baptist, Calvinistic Methodist, and Congregational chapels. Coal is shipped.
