Sherburn Hill, Durham
Historical Description
Sherburn Hill, a colliery village in Sherburn township, Durham, 1 mile from Sherburn Colliery station on the N.E.R. It has a post and money order office under Durham; telegraph office, Sherburn. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels, a library and newsroom, and a police station.
