Low Fell, Durham

Historical Description

Low Fell, a village in Gateshead Fell ecclesiastical parish, Durham, with a station on the Team Valley railway, Similes SW of Gateshead. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Gateshead. There are several handsome residences belonging to merchants of Gateshead and Newcastle, a Wesleyan chapel erected in 1882, and also Primitive and New Connexion Methodist chapels.
